Quiet!
Nothing is more quiet than a school in the summer. This is the picture that started my entire ABC blog. I came up with the ABC blog idea over the summer, and of course started by worrying about "the tough letter" (q, y, z). Then the light bulb went off in my head, the school is quiet now! I was in the middle of teaching summer school and unpacking my classroom so I took out my camera and snapped this picture. All of the furniture is in the hall because the custodians are doing their ritual cleaning of ever nook and cranny - they really do an amazing job of making our schools like bright and new every summer! If you look carefully in the picture you can see Weather Boy walking down the hall!
