Uncle Henry's Poem

In Maine Uncle Henry does not refer to a beloved relative, but rather a weekly classified ad publication. It is a weekly newsprint book that comes out on Thursday's and is available at the local gas station and convince store. For many Mainers Uncle Henry's is the only way to buy and sell cars, boats, trucks, and odd items around the house.

In this weeks edition on the first page Hamilton Marine had a whole page ad with the following description:

Fish Baskets
Large,
Green,
Plastic,
Commercial quality.
Great for bait,
garden,
laundry.

This little ad is a classic example of Uncle Henry's and how concise the ads can be.

Enjoy ~SJ
