Today I left my workshops for a few hours of relaxation in downtown Dallas. Since I have limited amounts of time to take in this part of the country, I decided that I couldn't come to Dallas and not go to the JFK Museum, or the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. I had planned on going on Tuesday, I thought it might be a very interesting place to go on that historic day, but it did not work out.The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy; interprets and supports the Dealey Plaza National Historical Landmark District and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza; and presents contemporary culture within the context of presidential history. (Sixth Floor Museum website)

The museum has a wonderful audio guided tour, complete with movies, photographs, artifacts, and descriptions. It was a very moving experience to stand and look out the window down onto the street below where this loved President was killed.
